The Kurds are considered the largest stateless nation in the Middle East. The Kurds whose lands were partitioned without their consent, as a result of the policy of great empires: first between the two Persian and Ottoman empires; and then later their country came under the national jurisdiction of four
Whilst in 1945 the world preoccupied with World War II, a section of the oppressed Kurdish nation had liberated from the yoke of the dictators. In this of part Kurdistan that was ruled by the Iranian monarchist regime, the Kurds had used the favorable conditions and vacuum of power that the Allied powers> invasion had created and under the leadership of Peshva Qazi established the Republic of Kurdistan on January, 1945. However, as a result of the policy of the great powers the Republic of Kurdistan was overthrown and the wishes of this great nation, the Kurds, snuffed out. The great powers of the time had no hesitation to sacrifice the Kurds> fate for their own interest.
On the 66th anniversary of Republic of Kurdistan, and on the basis of the Republic aims and objectives of the Republic and in accordance with the UN charter, the international conventions and human rights principle, we would like to draw to attention of all international centers and personalities and ask for their assistance to find a peaceful resolution of the Kurdish question so as the Kurds are no longer deprived of freedom, democracy and development, as well as their right to self-determination.
